I am so excited to see Dolly back at "home". It has been 26 years since she's been here in concert. Way back in 1985 I got to see Dolly for the first time with Kenny Rogers. Kenny & Dolly: Live in '85 - on July 20th will be my 75th "Dolly" show. Thank YOU GOD!
Only 1 week left!!! I cannot wait!! I almost have all of "Better Day" Memorized!!!!!
I have loved Dolly Parton for all my life. When I was 5 years old I heard "Me and Little Andy" which I would sing with my Maternal grandma all the time, as a duet. And at the same time my favorite show was Smokey Mountain Christmas that my Paternal grandma taped for me off the tv, I would watch this show all year long. When I found out, at 5 years, old that The lady that played in the movie was the same lady that sang the song...I was an immediate fan! I even won 3 talent show in 4th grade when I dressed up as Dolly and sang 9 to 5. I am now 26 and have learned more about Dolly Parton and the more I learn, or hear her positive putlook on everything and what an insperational person she is, I respect and love her even more! This has been a life long dream of mine!
Finally Dolly Parton is back in Albuquerqu. The last time she was here was Jan. 26, 1985 (with Kenny Rogers). I was 14 years old. I have loved Dolly Parton since I was 11 years old. I have a story to tell about this wonderful and amazing lady. I wrote her a letter and included my phone number. I was able to give her the letter (Kenny Rogers took it from me and gave it her). That night when I got home from the concert, Dolly Parton called me. How cool is that! This goes to show you what a wonderful lady Dolly Parton is. I am still waiting to meet her. If anyone out there has met her, how did you make it happen?
Dolly fan for ever!

You won?? That is so awesome!! It makes me feel better knowing that someone actually won! LOL Have a great time. Dolly is just the most amazing and humble person to meet.
Guess this means i didn't win..(sigh)never been soooooo disappointed...
to quote Dolly,"Why must it be?
That life's so sweet for some, but not for me
Birds sing for everyone but me, for me it rains
And I can't see the sunshine for the pain
But I see such happiness for some, but not for me
For me it rains, there's only pain
It's not for me.."
You might double check by going to My Profile, View Profile, Meet and Greet Requests, and check the status. Sometimes people don't get the emails, even though they do get a pass.
My aunt is going to your show at the sandia casino tomorrow. She has had Cerebral Palsy her whole life. She is also a cancer surviver. Her whole life she has dreamed of going to one of your concerts and meeting you. Please make her dream come true. This will be the first and last time she will be able to see you in concert. Even if you don't have time to meet her it would mean the world to her if you could dedicate a song to her. Her name is VIola Montano. Thank you so much. Our whole family would really appreciate it.
I can't believe the concert is today!! I'm so excited i haven't been able to eat or sleep!! Dolly is in Albuquerque!!
Hallelujah holiday, a big time celebration
We've been waiting many days to get this invitation
Joyful as a Sunday feeling
Spirits soaring to the ceiling
Ain't no work today, no way
It's a holiday !!!!!!!!!
I saw Dolly in concert last night in Albuquerque. It poured rain, but since we hadn't had any for months it was actually kind of pleasant. Dolly was as wonderful as ever and I really enjoyed her showcasing the many musical instruments that she has mastered. The only downside were the two obnoxious women who sat right behind us. It sounded like they were on helium and they talked, laughed at their jokes about Dolly and screamed at the top of there lungs. I heard that one of them preforms on Friday or Saturday nights on the 9th floor of Sandia Casino. I really hope that she gets an audience for her shows that is as rude as she was to Dolly last night.
