Hey Everyone!

Check out this Dolly Parton interview as she speaks on the importance of music education for children! That night she was speaking with an organization called DoSomething.org.

DoSomething.org, is one of the largest national organizations for young people and social change. Do Something is currently gearing up to launch Battle for the Bands, an amazing campaign that inspires students to fight for music education. On behalf of Do Something and VH1 Save the Music Foundation, let's fight to keep funding for music education in schools!

If you'd like to get involved, head to http://www.dosomething.org/battle and sign up today!

Thanks for your support, Dolly!

Just wanted to say thank you for your support of the music programs. Usually these are some of the programs that get cut first in the school budgets, well, that and the art programs. The art and music classes are also usually pushed back into the back of the school, usually taught in separate mobile type buildings. It is cold in winters and hot in summers. I don't why art and music many times is seen as unimportant in schools but together, if you want to keep them, and with your support, we can continue the fight of having these qualities in our schools. Art and Music is important, and is important in the lives of our kids. We just have to realize that. Thank you again, Dolly! I love you always! :)
