Dolly Parton's Nashville Water Park Update

Dolly Parton announced today that she will no longer be associated with the previously planned water park in Nashville.

In a statement, Dolly Parton explained: "Gaylord makes decisions that they feel are good for their company and their stockholders, and I have to make decisions based on what is best for me and the Dollywood Company... Governor Haslam, Mayor Dean, and all the folks in government have been great to work with. I really appreciate their support through this process. I think everyone knows I love Nashville, and I hope the work we've already done will spark more family entertainment in Nashville."

Dolly and Dollywood made the right decision for now. But may be someday. Who knows? Now how about that Euro Dollywood? And not Alabama! Sorry guys. lol. ;) Love you Dolly! You are great!

I understand completely. But how about a Dollywood II at Myrtle Beach? I remember in the past there were rumors, but it would be awesome to have one there. That way you are in both places: mountains and beach! Everyone loves Dolly! Oh, and you can always look halfway between Pigeon Forge and MB and settle for a Dollywood II in Clinton, SC! LOL. Love ya Dolly!
