Oh my goodness!

I was very fortunate to attend my very first Dolly concert on Tuesday 15 Nov in Sydney and I have to say I was totally and utterly blown away. The woman is phenomenal. True, you can see her in videos and such but in person and on stage just 10 rows from the front, she is without a doubt (if there ever was a doubt) the Queen!

As I mentioned I was sitting with my sister 10 rows from the front which was absofrigginlutely perfect. We arrived early and sat down and had the biggest laugh as our chair neighbours dribbled through. They all had the same reaction to us: OMG aren't we close and a giddy little dance or a chuckle. Some actually cried with delight and others like my chair neighbour Tamara (hi Tamara!) was just so giddy with delight, it was infectious (now there's an infection you would like to get every single day).

Dolly was incredible. She sang ALL the songs I love and that "Little Sparrow" in acapella was just mind blowing. Dolly doing rap was the last thing I thought I would see and she was funny. I love her sense of humour and her ability to laugh at herself. Sounds to me like a very happy and secure human being.

Thank you Dolly for not only reaching my expectations but exceeding them ten fold. WOW.
