Website maintenance - or lack of it.
In the last week there have been 12 adverts to 1 genuine member's comment. I guess other members are getting sick of it too. Next thing you know members will not be renewing their membership - why bother. The site isn't being maintained or updated. I get more Dolly info from 'dollymania' and don't even need to pay for that. I don't mind paying but we are not getting anything back for our money - come on Dolly, get someone to sort it out - if you don't care about the site - close it then we all will know where we stand. We are not even getting the video uploads from Dolly last was Easter I think. I have tried to contact Laura but got no answer - don't know if she is ill or busy doing something else. I can't think what else I can do - anyone got any ideas?

There is no news much at all on this site now, no new pics or content, the first version of this site(pink) was really good

Oh I sure hope everyone's ok. I will still be with no matter what. I guess Dolly is busy writing that life story. May be more songs? Laura, hope you doing good. Still gonna get my hands on her new book Dream More. Should be some good reading for the holidays. :) I admit. Would love to see another video blog. Christmas is coming up. :)

I don't blame Dolly - she pays people to do this sort of thing for her. If Laura is ill someone should be picking up her work.
I'm looking forward to the new book also - its on my Christmas list and if the family want Christmas dinner - someone better have got it for me (or it's an all out strike lol)
Dolly is still doing the video blogs - they just are not getting posted on here. Log on to dollymania.net Its free and there is a new vidoe most weeks as well as live interviews and a day-by-day diary of what Dolly is doing - plus a very interesting historical chart feature - 'on this day'. You can find out where all her albums/Single were in diffferent countries on any day you want to look at - going back years. It's free and you can still be a member of this site - just try it.

Ok. sorry. Freaked out a bit. You mean the interviews and all? Yes, Dollymania is fairly up to date. But may be they might be having trouble logging on here themselves or with something. I know Stella did have a bit trouble when she was locked out of an account once earlier and had to create a new one. She's back on the old now. But it took a bit. Could be something here too. Or, just on vaca may be? ;)

you are right about that Mary....i go to dollymania once a day just to check in with what Dolly is up too lol.....it's a great site with up-to-date content....i haven't actually been here for a while....i check it out occasionally but it's basically just spam...i'm not sure what is going on for Laura and i do hope she is ok.....to be honest i don't really have an opinion on this subject because i have no idea why it is no longer being managed....i don't know anyone involved with the site and such so i have no idea what their thoughts are about the site.....i think the one thing i do think is that this is supposed to be Dolly's official website...and in that way i kind of feel alot of people have left and maybe new fans will only have a peak and realise they can go elsewhere for better and more up-to-date stuff so in that way i kind of feel Dolly is being umm whats the word...misrepresented? i don't know.....it atleast isn't doing her any favors lol....don't get me wrong i Love Dolly to bits and if i'm alive when she leaves this world i'll be right behind her to have a quick chat lol but these days i do go to other sites....i do kind of feel like i'm betraying her for doing so lol but if she knew what was happening i don't think she would blame us for going else where.....i'll still check in here occasionally in the hopes that it will be sorted but yeah there are other sites out there that provide info for our daily Dolly fixes ;)

Good points well made. Many of us have tried really hard to keep interest alive in the site but its getting harder and harder. I have always poked around other sites but this one was like going home - where you always got a big welcome from those you love a trust. Now its like going home when your parents are no longer there - empty apart from the memories.
Still hoping for a Better Day World Tour DVD - bit late for Chrstmas now though - we would have heard about it. Never mind I will take it when I can get it lol.

If this continues I don't think I will renew my membership. I want to chat to real Dolly fans and learn more about Dolly and what she is doing - not read all this crap that is being posted. It takes ages to find our 'stuff' and I don't know what else I can do. I have emailed Laura but she doesn't appear to be available - hope she isn't ill. No one else is picking up the messages though.
