Hi everyone - having reached 100 blogs for a second time we are starting the challenge again - to ensure that we stay on the 1st page. Dollyismyangel's 3 lovely cats are off to do a bit a bird/mouse chasing so you will have to endure my face for a while - at least it includes a view of the Li River in China.

The challenge is simple - you should all know it by now. You answer the challenge and start the next one. You can make it a song, a movie or a Dolly quote - or if you have a moment of inspiration you can do all 3. If you have a 'Dolly' memory you can share that too.

I will start us off with a song - the current weather in the UK brought this song to mind lol - 'That uproots the harvest and hurls it away'.

that's really not good Mellissa...i have a friend who has a son that she often needs to take up to the hospital and even thoguh his symptoms are clearly displayed....they can't figure out what it is that's going on for him....so sad for the little ones but also the parents that have to stay in the hospital too....those places are hard to be asleep in....i sincerely hope they find out a cause soon for you...unfortunately for my firend, her son has had this thing going on with him for like 10 years ><

We went through the same trauma with our oldest Daughter - turned out to be Crohn's Disease - no cure but she is now 35 and leads a full active life and deals with the problem when it flairs up. Heard some good news on the Joyful Noise issue. It appears that the film will be shown in UK Warner Bros theatres from the 29th June - not so worried now I have the DVD - but I would like to see it on the big screen. I hope you all get it in you parts of the world too.

its 'holding everything' i like that song i kind of laughed or cringed when she performed it in her concert with that guy lol.....to me Dolly is way above being that way she's like angel status and doesn't need to be hangin of any guy....obviously i know thats not true cause she's married lol but it's like thinking about your parents that way...its' just ewwwwwww...my mind can't handle it....hehe anyway next song is 'a memory of how it used to be'

hello again ladies and thankyou mary for the kind thoughts and im not sure about chrones desease but the the boys have a rare chromosome deletion that causes alot of medical problems they are on many different meds and doing better than b4 its just this sickness that keeps hitting the youngest thats a worry anyway we have been to the coast for a week of warmer weather and salt air and he seems to be doing better........and dollyismyangel lol i know exactly what you mean i hate that actor too i cant evan watch him in another role its just done it for me that he beat her up .......and i read once dolly has tattoos and she verry well might but i just couldnt imagine it lol isnt that funny how you put someone on such a pedistool but i do love her to bits lol anyway next song "well i never stole nothin in my life"

I think the song is 'I don't wanna through rice'. This song has always made me smile - but more so since I have seen Dolly throwing bread and stuff at Queen Latifah I really have a mental image to accompany the song lol. (I am also thinking that the guy who beat her up got away lightly and she better not bump into him on a dark night either. I must admit though - I do like to see Miss Parton kissing Mr Woods in Straight Talk - I think holding her bra our of the door is very tasteful too - you can always imagine that she has her PJ's on lol.

I learned a little guitar while i was at school but can't play in open tuning mainly because i don't know what that means LOL just the regular way i've got a book full of dolly sheet music i think its called dolly parton greatest hits it has 30 of her most popular hits unfortunately apple jack isn't one of them I was a bit upset as that was the first dolly song i ever heard as a kid and its the song that got me hooked. not sure about open tuning but when i played regular guitar we would pluck the same note as the chord then strum the rest of the strings eg G chord pluck the 6th string on the third fret with your thumb then brush down with the rest of your fingers on the rest of the strings

i only know a few chords on the guitar...basics....not sure about strumming.....if you asked about the violin...now that i could help with lol hopefully someone on here knows or somehow look it up...or listen to the song over and over and figure it out that way...thats how i do it on the violin if i can't find the propper notes, just go by ear

There are a lot of self help books/guides to improve guitar playing. Have you tried to 'google' your problem - or ask Jeeves. Good luck with it anyway. Pity we don't have sound blog then you girls could play for us all - might even start a new challenge - Name that Tune lol.

There's 'Let her cry' but I haven't heard Dolly sing that - it could be on an album that I don't have. I think we need some help - or give us the answer and go again. It could just be that all this rain in the UK has rusted my brain.

You need to work on that young man of yours - my kids are fans and even my Grandchildren know most of her songs - they don't have much choice if they want to travel in my car lol.

I play the first one all the time not so much the second one tho'.

In some ways I do cheat. I have a very severe arthritis and Osteoporosis so cant sleep for more that a couple of hours - so I have an MP3 plaer plugged in my ears all night to help me through - so I have Dolly songs from about 35 albums running through my brain all night - its like learning a new language lol.

I will set another challenge but if you have had enough of this try the new one I have set off - How well do we Know Our Dolly.

i don't consider that cheating Mary hehe especially if you don't have to go back and relisten to a song to check ;p...sorry you don't sleep well ;( i don't either it sux, though i don't have the issues of arthritis and such to accompany the 'WTH can't i sleep' cycle.....my brain just doesn't stop working long enough for me to go to sleep....and of corse there are my 3 cats that absolutely HAVE to sleep right in the middle of my bed >< i have a queen sized bed yet i am often right on the edge >< i could judt kick them off but well i dont wanna lol plus i find them fascinating to watch
