How well do we know our Dolly?

As interest seems to be fading for the 'Name the song' challenge I thought it might be time to try a new challenge. How well do we know our Dolly? Well that's what we will attempt to find out. As usual your task is to answer the question and set the next one.

The 'Name the Dolly song' is still available for anyone who wants to continue - we can cope with 2 challenges can't we?

So heres a nice easy question to start with - where was our Dolly born?

The answer is 'Fuel to the Flame' - guess you guys just aren't old enough. It's a wonderful song though if you ever get the chance to listen to it - Dolly sings it better though lol.

I will try to post a easy question - what with everyone being busy getting ready for Christmas an all.

What was the serious illness that almost claimed the life of Avie Lee when Dolly was sill a child.

Yes it was Spinal Meningitis.

I believe that it was David and Denver who went to get help when Avie Lee lost a baby.

When Dolly left her hand prints in the wet cement on the Star Walk at the Opry, some fans asked if she was going to leave an imprint of a more famous part of her anatomy. What reason did Dolly give for declining that invitation.

I guess you are too busy writting Christmas cards to log on here. To keep this moving I will post the next question - but please feel free to add your own Suzanne.

A seasonal question here guys. One Christmas the Parton kids gave up the prospect of gifts in order that Lee could buy 1 special gift for 1 special person. Who was that gift for and what was it?

Still using my borrowed laptop - getting used to it more now though.

The answer to the last question is - A Wedding Ring for Dolly's Mum. The kids agreed not to have any gifts so that Lee could, at long last buy Avie Lee her ring.

I think we have just about declared all there is to know about Dolly - well all she is going to tell us lol. So I am not going to post another question. If you want to continue that's fine by me but perhaps in the new year someone can start a new challenge.

Have a great Christmas everyone
