Hi everyone - did anyone go to the first concert of the BDWT? If so tell us what it was like - come on spill the beans - its ages before the UK tour starts and we need something to hang on to.
Mary-It was AMAZING! I've been lucky enough to see her 4 times before this and this was the best one yet. She played for about 2 1/2 hours!! Such a huge variety from classics (Jolene, 9 to 5, Here You Come Again, I Will Always Love You, Coat of Many Colors, Islands in the Stream, Smoky Mountain Memories, White Limozeen (!), Tennessee Mountain Home) to covers (Walking on Sunshine, Stairway to Heaven, Help, Rocky Top) to new ones(In the Meantime, Sacrifice, Better Day, Holding Everything and a few from the new movie "Joyful Noise" due out mid-January) and a bunch of medleys! I can't even remember them all off the top of my head there were so many! There was a lot of great merchandise too but it sold out (think they underestimated how loved she is in Knoxville). I'm guessing with this being the kick off some songs will change as they fine-tune and streamline so it's not so rough on her---she put so much energy into it and dancing and moving like I've never seen her that I was exhausted just watching her! She even played the fiddle, banjo, electric and acoustic guitar, piano, dulcimer,recorder/flute instrument, harmonica AND saxophone!!! You are in for quite a treat and it's well worth the wait!
WOW, thanks for all the input...I am so excited and waiting for anyone to post an official concert setlist. I am wondering if this was a ''special'' set list for her home area and chairty. Was there an intermission or costume change? Thanks fellow Dolly fan :)
Glad to support my fellow Dolly lovers! Did you see the set list posted on Dollymania.net?

I saw the Dallas show, and it was fantastic! She looked beautiful, sang great, Little Sparrow was the stand-out for me, danced, shook her fringe and just seemed to be having a great time. Over 2 1/2 hours of pure Dolly magic. I am going to see her in Tulsa, my hometown, in October. Can't wait!!!
