Hi Dolly
My daughter and I are lifetime fans and last October celebrated her birthday with a trip to Tennessee. We planned to go all the way to Pigeon Forge but decided to stay at Nashville as we fell in love with the City. Our highlight was a night at the Grand Ole Opry and just a warm feeling of being in a place you love so much. We attended your concert in 2011 at the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and had the best night of our lives, the feeling in the audience was simply electric.

I'm getting married this year (2nd time) and my beautiful partner had agreed we fly to Nashville to get married and then drive on to Pigeon Forge as I didn't get there last year. I can't wait to return to Tennessee, It is truly a beautiful place and I recommend it as a holiday destination. The people, food, country music, everything is just fabulous. We purchased 6 pairs of 'boot scootin' boots and everyone at home wants a pair!

Dolly, I am a Clinical Psychologist and have my own practice. You have always been my inspiration behind my motivation to achieve and I want you to know I have a framed photo of you in my therapy room as a symbol of that motivation. I often rattle off little lines from your songs such as 'keep your eye on the prize' or 'gotta get to livin'. I'm sure you know you have touched many and I wanted to know how you touched my daughter's and my life, and now my grandsons aged 10 and 5 are fans and sing your song Sacrifice word for word. So over here in Australia you are loved across generations!

Hi Lisa congratulations on your up coming weddingyou should stay and get married in Gatlinburg TN its about 10 min from pigeon forge and its right in the heart of the smokey mountains try stay at a hotel with a river view you will not regret it or if you have the finances stay at a Dollywood cabin. Also I highly recommend Dolly's Dixie Stampede for a great night out

Sevierville is also a wonderful place. Just felt like home coming back to the Smokies last year for ourselves too. :) May be we meet sometime this year too? We are planning this year too. Just a day's drive for us from my hometown, so may be? :)

If you do go to Pigeon Forge this time then I would highly recommend you stay at one of the Dollywood cabins. We are going back in the Summer after visiting Nashville first. We are staying in a cabin called Castle on a Cloud this time which has one of the best views on the Starr Crest Resort so I've been told. The cabin we had last time was called Heart to Heart which was also lovely and had great views of the Smoky Mountains. Hope this is helpful to you.
