Wednesday had to be the best night of my life so far.
It was an anxious few months waiting for Dollys concert, but after what felt like a lifetime waiting it finally came.
As I walked up to the O2 in Dublin I felt the wave of excitement that everyone else must have been feeling. There was four of us going and we were so worried about being late in case we would miss the chance of a meet & greet. We had found out two nights before that two of us had won a meet & greet and we couldn't function properly until the night of the concert :).
After being directed from 3 different entrances we finally got to the the one we needed to get to. It was here we met Deirdre Hanway & Christine, who had also won meet & greets. It was great to meet Deirdre to put a face to the name, I don't think we stopped talking until the concert started lol.
After about ten minutes outside I spotted Jim (Dolly's Guitarist) who come out through the door nearest to us. He was waiting for friends of his to arrive. I don't think many people knew who he was but I called him over and chatted to him and got a picture with him. He was very nice and spent a long time chatting with us, telling us how he was playing golf that day and hurt his ankle, but I couldn't resist asking him how Dolly was i said "I heard Dolly was sick during the week how is she now" and he replied "Oh nothing phases Dolly, she is just great. She had a tickle in her throat but there is no stopping her now. I would love to have half her energy". Then I said "I wonder is she doing River Deep,Mountain High tonight" because I heard she wasn't able to do it when she was sick and he said "O ya I think she is doing that one tonight. She is so excited to be here in Ireland, we all are". We then said our goodbyes and he found his friends and went back inside
After a few moves to different rooms, sorting out our passses and waiting from 6pm untill 7.30pm, we were moved to the room where we were going to meet Dolly. About 15 of us crowded into one small room which had double doors opened into another room. Now it was tense, we knew Dolly was going to appear around the corner any minute now. After numerous false alarms at about 8pm we seen a few of Dollys entourage arrive Steve Summers, Laura E (ready to take the picture) and Danny Nozzel they were quickly followed by a wave of red sparkle and blonde which floated by. It was DOLLY. I first seen her wig and couldn't believe how big it was and then I seen her beautiful face. She honestly looked like porcelan doll, she was like an angel. I couldn't breath at this point. After a few seconds it was my turn, so i stumbled up to the where she was standing. All I could say was "OH YOUR'E GORGEOUS" I was dumbfounded. She is one hundred million times nicer in person if thats even possible. If I had to sum her up in one word it would be PERFECTION. I then said "Can i please give you a kiss Dolly" and she said in a really soft voice "Sure", so I did and it felt soooooo soft. As I pulled away my lips touched off her microphone and she then siad "Oh you kissed my microphone", she sounded so cute. We then got the picture taken and I said " I'm really looking forward to the show" and she said "I hope you enjoy it". I was holding onto her arms and looking in her eyes and as I left all i could say was "OH YOUR'E GORGEOUS" again. She was actually taller than I thought she was going to be but she was so perfect in everyway. I was escorted out then and it was all over it was brilliant.
Then came the next best thing, the Concert. I was sitting in the second row exactly in front of her. I had the most perfect view. Now the excitement I couldn't get out while I met her came to me. I went mad, nobody was gonna stop me. I clapped and shouted and went wild. Dolly kept waving down at me and smiling the whole time. Before she started singing "Tennesse Mountain Home" I shouted up "I LOVE YOU DOLLY" and she said "Thank You Very Much", I was so happy. When Jim & Kent were singing with her on Rocky Top, I shouted up to Jim and he said " Hey Christopher" I couldn't believe he remembered my name. I got a wave from Vicky & Jennifer when I waved at them and when Vicky was singing solo I cheered her on and she gave me a big wave. One of my most memorable moments was when Dolly was singing the He Will Take You Higher song and I done the dance with her with my arms and she kept laughing at me and was kinda cheering me on, she couldn't believe I actually knew it lol. It was great because I had watched the video so much I knew it lol. I then got a picture with Paul Hollawell at the end which was cool.
It was such a great night and Dolly was what I had expected and much much more. I can't wait to see the meet & greet photos and relive those moments again. Thanks to everybody involved and I can't wait to see you all again soon.

Was she sick a bit before then? Did not know that. Hope she is getting some good rest time now too. Inbetween the projects and all she has lined up.
You know, that is what Steve Summers said to us when we asked him if anything could bother her or the sorts when it´s right before the show and all. He said that he has never seen her phased (or something of the sort) one bit during the time he has known her.
What a wonderful person she is!
