I am curious to hear what the Meet N' Greet was like and what it consisted of. Were you able to talk to Dolly or did they just line you up and you walked up and got your picture taken? That's how other Meet N' Greet were that I have won. You simply line up, walk up when it's your turn, say hello, pose for the picture and it's over. I would say it lasted less than 60 seconds.
Were you able to take a guest with you? Could you bring a picture or CD for her to sign?
Please let me know for those of you that already won a Meet N' Greet.
Thanks
I won a meet and greet last
I won a meet and greet last tour. We lined up used your own camera and got a pic with dolly. They said don't carry on conversations with her. As u see I had on my dolly shirt. She said there's a man with his dolly shirt on. As they were getting us lined up for a picture I told her I was from TN too. After pic she stopped and asked what part I told her she knew the town. Said thank u for coming out. It was brief but so worth it.
cool :) I would rather 2
cool :) I would rather 2 seconds than nothing at all :) lol
Thank you for sharing! That
Thank you for sharing! That sounds a lot like Dolly! :) I know that they probably have to keep things moving and all, but it´s good that you can get in some words during the photo opportunity and all.
I got to meet and greet Dolly
I got to meet and greet Dolly before her show in Stockholm, Sweden. There was a small group of us waiting behind the stage area and just inside the doors from where the bus was parked. The other band members, the crew and two of the singers were walking past. They all looked so happy. Especially, the one male backup singer. He actually walked by and around whistling a tune and checking behind each of the doors from where the bus was parked. He called back at us standing there, "Dolly´s back there!" or something like it, before going on his way. We all were like he´s really happy. It´s obviously a blast working in her team.
Saw her backup Jennifer come by and looked at us, then smiled and went on her way. I thought, "Wow! Who´s that? Is she part of the show?"
Dolly was a bit later in coming out, but when she did, it was all worth it! She seemed to shine like a star! It was bright and she was beautiful! But I wouldn´t have preferred anything else to that!
When it came my turn to come up to her, the one who helps get her all the instruments and all, just gave me a motion of "There you are! Go on up!" It was so friendly, and not as formal as you might think.
I must have stood there a bit longer. But, I heard Dolly´s lovely voice call to me to come on over. It was great and warm of her to do so. All I could do was give her a hug, but it was worth it all! Before letting go, she warmly and kindly asked me, "What is your name?" and when I told her, I got the warmest and loveliest greeting, "Hi Stephanie!" I almost cried after that.
Now, I just keep looking at the picture of us together. Her warmth and kindness and beauty is contagious. I keep trying to remember over and over again every detail.
The best experience I ever had!
I have always ALWAYS wanted to meet her and I got my dream!
She is such a lovely lady with a lovely voice!
Thank you, Dolly, to letting me be a part of it all!
Love you and God bless!!
Hi all if anyone has been
Hi all
if anyone has been lucky enough to win a meet and greet for Cardiff tonight (4th September) i hope this blog is of some help...
i was lucky enough to win a meet and greet for last night).......got to the box office at 5.45 to get our passes only to be told by a very abrupt & very unhelpful girl that i should be here at 6pm no sooner and someone will meet us.......
well we got there dead on 6, nobody came, doors opened at 6.30 (box office closed)........luckly enough we explained to staff who were scanning peoples tickets going in and they were able to find someone who could help......
the lady who helped us found out that the passes were at the box office and had been there all day ready for pick up at any time and that the box office staff were aware of this....unfortunatly the lady at the box office was either just being unhelpful or didn't know.......it took a good part of an hour to sort out.....
eventualy we were taken to Dolly at 7.30 which was a bit of a rush as the show starting at 8....all i can say is wow what a wonderful lady and the meet was out of this world....
my advice is get to the box office by 6 (latest as it close at 6) ), get your pass (push for it just in case it's the same lady we had) stay in the box office area, if nobody comes for you go in when the doors open at 6.30 (go into through the door at the box office area) ...make yourself known to the staff as soon as you get your ticket scanned and they will advise where to wait until someone comes for you..............if there are no signs of anyone coming get a member of staff to find out whats happening.......if we hadn't i'm sure the meet and greet wouldn't have happened.
Dolly's staff couldn't apologise enough and had been concerned as to why nobody had turned up for the meet and greet.....they gave us the impression that it was all down to the motorpoint arena staff....
hope this helps if you've been lucky enough to win the meet and greet enjoy.
have a great time
Kevin
