I was just recently sitting and wondering. Dolly has a mass of great songs that have helped people over the years. And, I was just wondering what song helped each of you in some way.
Thank you Dolly for your songs!
hmmm....alot of her songs have helped me but the most consistant and relevant song especially when i was suicidal was the original slow verion of light of a clear blue morning, ever since i was a kid i would often listen to it and it's always in a disc in my car too....i think i chose that song because when i was going through shit the song let me know there was someone out there that knows how i am feeling plus it has a positive spin to it
Over the years many songs have helped me in many ways but the most recent was last year when I retired. A song from Eagle when she flies - Wildest Dreams helped me. Although it is undoubtedly a love song it fit my feelings about leaving my work mates after so many years. It included my throughts and wishes for their future. I emailed the words to everyone and told them that Dolly was more sentimental than me so there was no need kiss me goodbye or to tell me that they love me and anyone looking deep into my eyes would be in danger of a slap - they all said is was a great leaving memo.
Rock candy Christmas
Smokey Mountain Christmas movie has a song about, What would we give to Santa this year? ( I don't know what it is really called.
Light of A Clear Blue Morning has always been my favorite song I can listen to it and restore my faith in whatever it is that needs restored. There are some many songs I love and cherish I have a Dolly song for my every mood. She has so many that I always love when I find a CD I made and it has a song on it I haven't heard in a while. I always have a CD in my car, purse , truck and even at work that has DOlly on it and of course my ipod is loaded with the ones I have. I got robbed a couple of years ago and they stole all my cds including my Dolly collection. I had put some of them on my computer but not all. So I am in the process of re-buying them all.
