Good bye Whitney
Its a sad day today as we in Oz learn of the death of Songstress and singing legend Whitney Houston.
I personally would like to acknowledge the great entertainer she was. Even in her later years with her drug and alcohol associations,she was remembered as one of the greatest female voices. With the release of THE BODYGUARD movie and soundtract, Whitney did push Dolly's "I will always love you"to mass audiences world wide. For us Dolly fans... It was great knowing that our own Dolly wrote the song that was making Whitney shine.
Dolly has always paid homage to Whitney, even in the most recent Better Day tour... Dolly acknowledged Whitney and her recording of the song.
So as a Dolly fan... I'd like to say thank you Whitney. You blessed our ears if even for a short time. And your music and vocal ability will be remembered as one of the finest!
